From Rome to Tsitagong by MarcosCeia From Rome to Tsitagong by MarcosCeia
So, another map for Isaac's Empire, this time showing the Eurasian continent, from Europe to Siam (hence the name). I've tried a different projection here, just to taste things up. Didn't do anything fancy with the sea, since the map is already crowded with information. Also, experimenting some typographic ornaments here. Hope you like it :)

While I think this map is pretty awesome, I want to point out that the Roman Empire would not have been very likely to name possesion in Southern Africa "Rhodesia", since this name was derived from the British colonial official Cecil Rhodes.

From what I remember from the TL (it's been a LONG time), it's from island of Rhodes, not Cecil Rhodes. I was only the mapmaker =)

Awsome as usual. I've never heard of the Rossians before. Don't tell me I'm missing out on another awsome historical group.

No, it's the same ol' Russians (ok, these are the Kievan Rus), but the name came to the West as Rossia. Isn't it written with an 'o' in Russian too?

Hmm I have never seen it written like that. I mean I've seen them refered to as the Rus or Varangians(I know I misspelled that lol). Maybe I missed that somewhere. Still good to see thay still are doing their thing here.

Actually, you didn't misspell it. It's supposed to be Varangians.

Rossians = Russians.

I expect you're familiar with Russians, considering your avatar picture. :P
